Jack (John) Hammett has been a writer of plays and short fiction in the Washington area since the 1940s. His one act plays were performed in local theatre after WWII, some of them with him as a participating actor. Jack wrote many ten-minute plays during this period and most of the short-fiction selections in this book were converted  from works which were originally written and performed as plays.

John L.
