About the Author: Elvin Merl Richmond moved to Scott County, Arkansas (the setting for this novel) at one year of age and grew up there on a farm. Hunting, fishing and wandering the Quachita Mountains as a youth, he developed a life-long love for them. Elvin holds a BSE in history, an MSE in English and, from the University of Oklahoma, a Masters of Professional Writing. He's been a sawmill and construction worker, a farm hand, a teacher and a sales representative. He recently retired from the Oklahoma Department of Human Services where he worked as both a social worker and a supervisor. He's written several feature articles and numerous book reviews, this is his first published novel..
