The 2008 Beloit Int'l Film Festival was held January 17-20 , 2008 in Wisconsin and A.W. Gryphon's  film, La Cucina was named Best Feature by the judges. A. W. Gryphon is the writer of La Cucina which debuted and was well received at the 11th Annual Hollywood Film Festival last October. In April La Cucina  also won best feature at the 2008 Backlot Film Festival in Hollywood. A. W. Gryphon's first novel  Blood Moon, the epic story of the coming of age of the most powerful witch that the world has ever know is now available to reviewers in ARC format, hard cover release date was April 28, 2008.
